Casa Talaia, as its name indicates, is located in an elevated and dominant position, in Puig d'en Sanés. Its dominant situation on the territory offers privileged views over the sea of the Bay of Cadaqués and the mountains of the Peni.
The previously existing house was built in the sixties. This building, of radial configuration, gave this situation of predominance over the landscape, with views practically to the 4 winds.
The construction was characterized by its eclectic and not very orderly character, with an extremely chaotic distribution, the result of the supposed extensions that were happening over the years.
Due to the large size of the intervention and the configuration of the house, the reform was approached in 3 phases of execution, starting from a global project whose objectives were the following:

- Redistribute spaces linking the different functional areas.

- To achieve a spatial interest of the different volumes with light entrances and introduction of elements that would allow us to give adequate proportions to the space.
adecuadas el espacio.

- Directly link and expand each space with the exterior garden, integrating architecture and nature.

- Updating the house according to the client's needs both functionally and in terms of improving the requirements of the facilities.

The interior renovation of Casa Talaia respects the traditional Mediterranean aesthetics, combining it with modern elements to achieve a functional, warm and integrated space in the landscape.
Casa Talaia is an example of balance between tradition and modernity, creating spaces that reflect the serenity of the Mediterranean landscape and, at the same time, satisfies contemporary needs. The use of natural materials from the area, a minimalist aesthetic and a functional distribution make this house a unique place to live and enjoy the environment.
