This was an old, 18th Century building situated in Cadaqués (Alt Emporda). The dwelling had been subject to various renovations and extensions, so we decided to work on the space as a whole in an attempt to unify it. The main objectives were to unearth light and create a functional, practical living space. To achieve this, we opened up the ground floor to the rear patio, incorporating one space into another. We used materials, colours and textures characteristic of/capturing the essence of the culture and history of the place.

La búsqueda de luz y una distribución funcional eran los dos objetivos primordiales del programa. Para ello, se amplió la obertura de planta baja, para integrar el patio en la zona de día de la casa. Se utilizaron materiales, colores y texturas característicos de la casa, del lugar y susceptibles de adaptarse a la climatología de Cadaqués.
