This is a flat located in Poble Sec, in an old building typical to the neighbourhood. It was a flat full of small rooms which had never been renovated, so we had to reinforce the roof leaving the framework in view.

Starting with a rectangular floor, with two perpendicular facades, the layout comprised a spacious living room/dining room/kitchen and access to two bedrooms and a laundry room with access to a bathroom.

Invariably we like to adapt ourselves to the space, planning and indulging in its history. In this way we made us of the original hydraulic tiles by re interpreting and updating them. In the same way, we made use of the existing natural light with the white from the ceilings and walls in contrast to the deep red colouring of the tile floor (typical to the neighbourhood) and the pine woodwork.
