This is a flat situated in Barcelona in the neighbourhood of Gracia, in a noble residence with three façades. The project comprised the integral renovation of the flat from too many small rooms into diaphanous spaces to achieve high beams and to introduce light into the areas furthest from the main windows. The aim was to respect the original elements of the residence and to enhance them in a reminiscent way. In this way we uncovered the beams and vaults in the ceiling. We salvaged and restored hydraulic tiles and the doors were repaired maintaining the tinted glass. The only thing left untouched was the exterior woodwork as it had only been renovated a few years before.

El objetivo era respetar los orígenes recuperando parte de los materiales oriundos de la finca y haciéndolos protagonistas del espacio. Para ello, se descubrieron las vigas y las bovedillas cerámicas. Se recuperaron y restauraron piezas del mosaico hidráulico encontrados bajo el pavimento y se rehabilitaron las puertas manteniendo los vidrios tintados. Tan sólo se dejaron intactas las carpinterías exteriores pues habían sido renovadas hacía tan sólo un par de años.
